Independent & non-partisan
We answer to no party, government, or company. Our only allegiance is to Sudan and its people.
Basmat Watan — "a nation's imprint" — is a national initiative uniting Sudanese experts across every field, at home and in the diaspora, to rebuild and develop Sudan.
Sudan is rich in talent. Across the diaspora and at home, Sudanese doctors, engineers, teachers, economists, farmers, jurists, artists, technologists, and experts of every kind are building at the frontier of their fields — often far from the country that shaped them.
Basmat Watan exists to gather that energy and unite it. We are a homeland initiative where every Sudanese expert — whatever their field — can find a meaningful way to contribute: mentoring, building, teaching, advising, funding, volunteering, or connecting.
We are non-partisan and inclusive. Our commitment is to Sudan and its people — to a homeland rebuilt and led by Sudanese hands, across every discipline.
Sudan's renewal needs every discipline — not one sector alone.
Sudan's greatest asset is its people. We organize around them.
We favor durable institutions and capacity over one-off wins.
Inclusive, dignified, and open to every Sudanese expert, everywhere.
Basmat Watan is run by Sudanese professionals — volunteers at home and across the diaspora. We are not a company, a party, or a government body. We are people who chose to organise around one homeland.
We answer to no party, government, or company. Our only allegiance is to Sudan and its people.
We explain plainly how the initiative is run, how decisions are made, and how your data is handled.
No single sector leads. Health, engineering, education, the arts, and every discipline sit side by side.
Diaspora and home, every region and background — one Sudan, rebuilt by its own people.
The initiative is coordinated by a volunteer organising group that gathers registrations, runs events, and connects experts to the work. It grows by the hands that join it.
If you'd like to help organise — coordinating, facilitating, or building the initiative itself — register as an expert and tell us, or write to us at info@basmat-watan.com.
