Privacy & trust

We treat your information with care and respect. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Basmat Watan is a national initiative run by volunteers and organisers. We only ask for the details we need to coordinate the work and stay in touch with you — nothing more.

What we collect

When you register as an expert or write to us, we collect your name, email, your field of expertise, how you would like to help, and any message you choose to send. Newsletter signups collect your email only.

Why we collect it

We use your details solely to coordinate the initiative — to understand the expertise available, to contact you about ways to contribute, and to reply to your message. We do not sell or share your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How it is stored

Submissions are stored securely in a Cloudflare D1 database. Access is limited to the initiative's organisers, who use it only to coordinate the work described above.

Spam & abuse protection

To keep our forms safe, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated bots, alongside basic rate limiting. This processes minimal technical signals and does not track you across the web.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as the initiative is active and your contribution remains relevant. You can ask us to remove them at any time.

Privacy-first analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. It is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, shows no consent banner, and does not track you across the web or build a profile of you.

Access & removal

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time. Just email us at info@basmat-watan.com.
